Carang gesing cake is among the conventional desserts typical of the Yogyakarta space. The components and technique of creating Carang Gesing Cake are very concise and easy, with the primary components being plantain and coconut milk.
The hallmark of the carang gesing cake is that the cake is wrapped in banana leaves and is within the form of a tum (like a gado-gado package deal).
INGREDIENT :
8 plantains, peeled and reduce into rounds
250 ml coconut milk
2 eggs
100 gr sugar
2 pandan leaves, reduce into items
1/2 tsp salt
Banana leaves for wrapping
HOW TO MAKE :
1. Beat eggs and sugar till sugar is dissolved. Add salt and coconut milk, combine effectively after which pressure.
2. Take a bit of banana leaf, give a bit of pandan leaf, items of banana, and coconut milk combination. Wrap it like wrapping gado-gado (tum).
3. Steam till cooked +/- 20 minutes.
