The Burl Wood fence gate is now open for sale
The Burls Burl Gate, an outdoor fence gate built in 1926 and built to keep dogs and other animals from crossing a burl, is now up for sale for $1.5 million.
The Burls gate, constructed in 1926 by Indian immigrant Burl, was the first such outdoor fence to be constructed in India and was one of the first outdoor gates in the world.
The gate is the only one in India that is fully enclosed by trees, allowing for maximum protection from wildlife.
It was originally built in the early 20th century to prevent the spread of diseases like smallpox.
The gates are now closed to traffic.
The owner of the gate, who goes by the name of BurlWood, has been selling the gate for two decades.
He told The Hindu newspaper that he has been trying to get the gate in the market since his wife died and had no luck.
The sale is set to begin in a few weeks.
